PJ is a Partner at Kelvin Chia Partnership (KCP).
Based in Singapore after having resided in Yangon, Myanmar for 7 years since joining KCP in 2013, PJ works closely with KCP’s various regional teams and has significant knowledge and work experience advising and assisting local and off-shore clients in investment projects across KCP’s regional practice, particularly Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines
PJ’s practice has focused on assisting clients in cross-border investment projects across various sectors, including private equity (including start-up financing), financial services, franchising, distribution & retail, telecommunications, and energy. He has advised clients on the structuring and implementation of investment projects in Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and these have included (with the assistance of local qualified counsel, if needed) the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of transaction documents and the preparation of and application for necessary approvals from corresponding investment, financial and regulatory authorities.
He also manages the Firm’s intellectual property practice for non-Singapore matters, advising clients on intellectual property (IP) rights and registration procedures for regional and international clients seeking a “one-stop” solution to its IP rights requirements in the regions.
