Mark is our resident foreign lawyer assigned in Hanoi.

Before joining the Firm, Mark has had an extensive experience in all aspects of doing business in the Philippines. His work included advice on company structuring, corporate income taxation, and fiscal incentives. He has also handled several cross-border corporate and commercial transactions between companies in foreign jurisdictions and foreign invested companies in the Philippines. On a daily basis, he assisted the legal aspects of the operations of a regional operating headquarters.

In Vietnam, Mark has acquired a sufficient familiarity of the new investment laws and an in-depth understanding of the World Trade Organization investment regime as applied to Vietnam. He has particularly assisted in several mergers and acquisitions transactions between offshore and onshore companies which entailed legal due diligence exercises and preparation of ancillary documents required to effect the transactions. He is thus familiar with the mergers and acquisitions legal environment in Vietnam.
