Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd maintains a large intellectual property registration portfolio and represents many international trademark and patent agents. In the corporate and commercial arena, Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd has conducted due diligence exercises for foreign investments and acquisitions. It has a team of three Myanmar attorneys with strong local legal know how and who have a hands on understanding of Myanmar laws and regulations, including that particularly relevant to the infrastructure, energy, mining and agricultural industries. 

Our Myanmar personnel who are based in Yangon include U Than Maung, a very senior member of the Myanmar bar, and Khin Leinmar, a locally qualified attorney. We have a dedicated and well versed corporate affairs manager Min Min Ayer Naing handling clients and government liaison matters. If there are legal matters with cross border impact, or require additional transactional assistance, then support is provided by Cheah Swee Gim, managing director of KCP Yangon Ltd, and Jay Cohen. In addition, Kelvin Chia, our Singapore managing partner, also spends considerable time in Myanmar, and utilises his legal skills to assist investors sourcing projects.
