Our Oil and Gas practice group has extensive upstream and downstream experience in the Asia Pacific region. Kelvin Chia, our managing partner, regularly assists clients in identifying and structuring oil and gas investments. Our lawyers have the necessary expertise to draft, advise on and negotiate all agreements necessary to successfully carry out an oil and gas transaction from host government contracts, farm-in agreements, production sharing agreements, gas sales agreements, gas transportation agreements to other ancillary agreements necessary to carry out the project. Furthermore, with our comprehensive network of offices in the Asia Pacific region, we are able to effectively liaise with government officials in each office's respective jurisdiction and provide comprehensive local law advice. Our Oil and Gas practice group is jointly headed by Cheah Swee Gim who has advised clients on upstream and downstream projects in Singapore and abroad, and is complimented by Jay Cohen, a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) who previously worked in-house for a major integrated oil and gas company.
